Rain in Mid-Missouri later Saturday afternoon has prompted some schedule changes for the remainder of the weekend with Mizzou's Softball and Baseball teams.
The second game of the Baseball team's doubleheader with Central Michigan was postponed, and will now be played as the first game of a doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. The Tigers won Saturday's opener vs. the Chippewas, 14-7, before the rain rolled in.The Mizzou Softball team's game vs. Western Michigan was suspended in the bottom of the fourth inning due to rain. The Tigers (playing as the visiting team) led, 10-1 at the time of the delay. The game will be resumed Sunday at approximately 12:30 p.m., with the same score.
All other action was halted for Saturday. The night's scheduled game between Minnesota and Western Michigan at 6:30 p.m. has been cancelled. Sunday's game between Western Michigan and Minnesota, originally scheduled for an 11 a.m. first pitch, has been moved up one hour to 10 a.m. At approximately 12:30, Mizzou and Western Michigan will resume the delayed game, and that will be followed by Mizzou and Minnesota playing at 1:30 p.m., which is the original start time for that game.
