For the third-straight season, Missouri picked up a three-game sweep of Nebraska. The Tigers defeated the Huskers, 2-0 on Friday behind a strong pitching performance from junior Nick Tepesch (see below). Mizzou then took a 12-7 win on Saturday and held on for a 6-5 victory in Sunday's series finale.

Nick Tepesch -- Junior -- RHP

Junior Nick Tepesch recorded his first career shutout as Missouri defeated Nebraska, 2-0 on Friday in the opener of the three-game series. Tepesch was perfect through the first 4.1 innings, retiring the first 13 Nebraska batters before giving up a single in the top of the fifth inning. Tepesch struck out a season-high nine and gave up just five hits to move to 5-5 on the season. He retired the side in order in five innings.

Mizzou junior Jonah Schmidt hit .455 in the Tigers' three game sweep of Nebraska last weekend extending his hitting streak to a career-long nine games. Schmidt had a hit in the series opener and followed with a pair of two-hit games. In addition to his two hits in Saturday's game, he was hit by a pitch twice. In Sunday's series finale, Schmidt hit his seventh home run of the season in the sixth inning and added an RBI double in the seventh.
