Hello Tiger Fans!
The semester has flown by! I can't believe tomorrow is my last day of spring practice ever! And finals are only 2 weeks away. This semester has been very productive on and off the court. The team has worked extremely hard on the court, in the weight room and when we are running around Hearnes for our conditioning. Our team has made huge improvements over the past few months and we are getting prepared for the fall.
Last weekend we went to the University of Northern Iowa for a tournament. Our team piled into two 15 passenger vans. There was a lot of laughter, Jules trying to convince us there is more than just cows in Iowa (no one believed her), and of course a lot of jelly bean packing. Overall it was a pretty descent showing. This tournament was a little different than normal. We only played two sets for each match. The morning started off in dominate fashion when we beat Wisconsin the first set. Sadly we let down and lost the second set. The next match we played the University of Iowa. We lost the first set then won the second. Our 3rd match was against the University of Northern Iowa. We beat them in two very close matches. Our final match of the day was against Iowa State. We had a tough match against them and lost both sets. Sadly I was on the sideline last weekend. I broke my hand in my self defense class on Tuesday so I am currently in a hot pink cast until May 10. L I was the official stat taker of the weekend. It was very hard to watch the team play and not be able to help them when I am used to being on the court with them. But I cheered and supported my team to the best of my abilities.
