It was quite a weekend for the Missouri baseball team as the Tigers climbed right back into the middle of the Big 12 Conference standings. After entering the weekend at the bottom of the league standings, Missouri used a sweep of a Sunday doubleheader with Kansas State to vault into seventh place. The Tigers are just percentage points out of six and a half game back of fifth spot. This past weekend's series saw plenty of schedule changes as the weather did not allow for games to be played Friday or Saturday. The series was cut to just two games, both played on Sunday and both won by Mizzou.

Pitcher of the Week

Nick Tepesch - Junior - Blue Springs, Mo.

Junior Nick Tepesch picked up the win in the series opener with Kansas State, as he allowed just one run on seven hits in 7.2 innings pitched. He struck out five and moved to 4-3 after winning his second-straight start. He has pitched at least seven inning in all five of his starts in Big 12 play. Tepesch has an ERA of 3.11 in Big 12 games and has struck out 27 batters in his five conference starts.

Player of the Week

Brett Nicholas - Junior - Phoenix, Ariz.

Junior Brett Nicholas has a 14-game hitting streak intact after he hit .417 (5-for-12) in Missouri's three games last week.
