Hello Tiger Fans!
The semester has flown by! I can't believe tomorrow is my last day of spring practice ever! And finals are only 2 weeks away. This semester has been very productive on and off the court. The team has worked extremely hard on the court, in the weight room and when we are running around Hearnes for our conditioning. Our team has made huge improvements over the past few months and we are getting prepared for the fall.
It was quite a weekend for the Missouri baseball team as the Tigers climbed right back into the middle of the Big 12 Conference standings. After entering the weekend at the bottom of the league standings, Missouri used a sweep of a Sunday doubleheader with Kansas State to vault into seventh place. The Tigers are just percentage points out of six and a half game back of fifth spot. This past weekend's series saw plenty of schedule changes as the weather did not allow for games to be played Friday or Saturday. The series was cut to just two games, both played on Sunday and both won by Mizzou.

Missouri took a win in the series opener against Oklahoma State last Friday, by a score of 9-2. However, the Tigers dropped the next two games of the weekend and now sit at 19-16 on the year and have a record of 4-8 in the Big 12.
Hello Tiger Volleyball Fans!
Some of you may not know who I am because this is my first semester in college here at Mizzou. I graduated high school early (in January) so I could start my collegiate career this spring. As you can imagine, the past couple months have been a major transition for me. I am practicing and playing with the team as well as taking a full 15 hour class schedule. I've been learning a lot and gaining some very valuable experience which will put me in a great position to help the team come this summer and fall.
There seems to be a pattern forming for the
Since this is my first spring season with Missouri Volleyball I have had many new experiences and I have learned a lot from this team. In the beginning of the spring we were working on our individual skills and since I am a defensive specialist I worked with Priscilla Armendariz and Caitlyn Vann. Now for the past 4 weeks we have been having our team practices to get us back in the flow of things and improve our team chemistry. Off the court we have been working hard as well and Coach Paul is always pushing us in the weight room and keeping us in shape. We also have two teams within our whole team (the black and the gold) and we compete against each other in physical and mental challenges to earn points each week. Off the court we can earn points as well for doing things such as extra study hall hours or getting an A on a test. This weekly competition has benefited our team in many ways by helping us improve our competitive sides, but our sportsmanship as well.
During the offseason, the Mizzou volleyball program has introduced a video segement that will help fans get to know their favorite student-athletes. Each week, MUTigers.com will cath up with one of the Mizzou volleyball players and give an inside look into that player's life. This week, MUTigers.com caught up with middle hitter Brittney Brimmage.
