Two weeks from today, the Mizzou baseball team will be on its way to Tucson, Ariz. to open up the 2010 season. As opening day gets closer, there are some notes to pass along. The season opener is set for 2 p.m. central time on Friday, Feb. 19 against Gonzaga in the Collegiate Cactus Classic.

Tigers on TV

It was announced earlier this week that FSN will carry two of Mizzou's regular season games this year. Missouri's matchup with Oklahoma on April 10 and its game against Kansas State on April 24 will both air on FSN. Of the five regular season games in which FSN has selected, the Tigers will play in two.

At least one more game will be televised, as each year one game is televised on the Mizzou Sports Network. Mizzou Sports Properties will be announcing that games soon. Also, there is still a possibility that ESPN/ESPNU could pick up additional games.

Tigers on the Radio

Once again all of Mizzou Baseball's regular season and postseason games will be broadcast on KTGR in Columbia. In addition to KTGR airing on the AM dial at 1580-AM, KTGR has added a spot on the FM side of the dial at 100.5-FM. All of the Tigers 2010 contest will air on both 1580-AM and 100.5-FM.

The broadcast can also be heard online at

Schedule Update

Take a note of gametime changes for the Tigers' three-game series with Nebraska on May 14-16. The first two games of the series will start at 7 p.m., with the Sunday series finale set for Noon. The adjustments were made to avoid conflicts with the Big 12 Conference Track & Field meet, which will be taking place at Walton Stadium, adjacent to Taylor Stadium, that weekend.

Stadium Renovations Continue

The renovation work at Taylor Stadium is continuing as Opening Day nears. Updated photos of the construction are available here. The work is schedule to be completed in the next few weeks, in time for the Tigers' home opener on March 10 against Western Illinois.
