As I write, the men's basketball team is finalizing preparation for its game vs. Savannah State tonight at 7 p.m., but I wanted to give you some additional notes about some upcoming games.
By now, you've probably seen that we've announced a sellout of Saturday's Kansas State game. It's the first of the season, and comes on the heels of a large walk-up crowd of over 13,000 for last Saturday's Georgia game. We're excited for an excellent matchup of two solid teams for the Big 12 Conference opener.
Because of some delays that fans experienced prior to the Georgia game, and because Saturday's crowd will be bigger, we wanted to give fans some reminders:
With the first conference game sold out, let me give you some updates on upcoming games. Fewer than 150 tickets remain for our matchup vs. Oklahoma State on Saturday, Jan. 30, so make sure to buy your tickets now for that one. The next home men's game after this Saturday is in two weeks, on Saturday, Jan. 23, vs. Nebraska. At this time, about 400 tickets remain available. And even though we're about six weeks away, tickets are selling very well for our game on Wednesday, Feb. 17, vs. 2nd-ranked Texas. As a reminder, tickets for the regular-season finale vs. Kansas on Sunday, March 6, don't go on-sale for another month.
