The weather outside may make it hard to believe, but we are just over a month away from the start of the Mizzou Baseball season. This Friday is the First Pitch Celebration, which is the annual event that helps kickoff the baseball season.

This year's gala is shaping up to be the best First Pitch Celebration the Tigers have had. Former Major League All-Star Darryl Strawberry will be the guest speaker. We all are familiar with Darryl Strawberry and his career in the big leagues. He has a great story and is a very compelling speaker.

In addition to hearing from Strawberry, those in attendance on Friday will be introduced to the 2010 Tigers and get a season preview from Coach Jamieson. Also several former players are coming back to Columbia this weekend and will be on hand at the First Pitch Celebration.
